Aluminum windows in the test of time

Aluminum windows have been a favourite among home and building owners for more the last forty or fifty years.  Modern aluminum windows can be fabricated in nearly any style and colour.  Aluminum framed windows are nearly maintenance free.  Since aluminum is conductive, the frames are either hollow (filled with air) or filled with foam or some other insulator in order to create a thermal break with the exterior.  Aluminum windows are generally less expensive than wood.
