Hybrid windows

When it comes to buying new windows, style isn’t the only thing that you should be paying attention to.  Obviously, deciding on between double-hung, French, awning or casement windows is an important decision, and will have a huge impact on the overall look of your home or other building.

But what kind of material are you going to choose for your windows?  Modern windows can be made from a wide range of materials, each with it’s own advantages.

Hybrid windows a green choice

In hybrid windows, the exterior-facing portion of frame is made of (or covered in) aluminum, and the inside protion is made of wood.  This provides the beauty of wood frames inside the building coupled with the durability of aluminum on the outside.  The wood also provides a great thermal break, making hybrid windows very efficient.
